It is every parent’s worst nightmare. When that phone rings and you are informed your child is dead. Worse yet, your child has been murdered in a school shooting.

How does one ever get beyond such a horror?

Scarlett Lewis. Scarlett founded the nonprofit Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement in honor of her son, Jesse, who was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in December 2012. Scarlett became an advocate for social and emotional learning and character development to help children manage their emotions, feel connected, and have healthy, meaningful relationships. She created the Choose Love For Schools program, a no cost, comprehensive, lifespan, next generation character and social emotional development program that teaches children how to thoughtfully respond with love in any situation.

His spiritual quest began as a college student and led him on a ten-year journey where he lived in ashrams and taught meditation in North America, Europe, Africa and Australia. In his thirties he left the ashram, started a family and a career in the leadership development industry where he provided training and coaching to leaders in Fortune 500 companies.
