Evolving Consciousness
and Higher Purpose

As we contemplate the many aspects of spiritual
evolution and personal empowerment it is important to examine the emerging new
understandings of the nature of consciousness.
There is increasing evidence that consciousness does
not reside in the brain but instead is a universal phenomenon – one we can all
tap into through the heart – through the unifying nature of unconditional love.
What is consciousness if not a byproduct of brain
function? Where does this non-logical consciousness reside? If consciousness is
universal rather than personal how do we access it? Can accessing universal
consciousness finally answer the question of life path, why we are here, and
higher purpose? Or are we just randomly generated individual biological
machines with no deeper meaning?

and higher purpose is Dr. Eben Alexander. Dr. Alexander was an academic
neurosurgeon for over 25 years, including 15 years at the Brigham & Women’s
Hospital, Children’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School in Boston. He has a
