Redefining the Boundaries of Love

 Redefining the Boundaries of Love

With so much thought, literature and discussion dedicated to the subject of love it is amazing how shallow our concept of it remains. When it comes down to it, love is the driving force behind all things. Yet we view it as something that has a beginning and an end. I will love you till death do us part – more likely till divorce do us part. But does love end with death or divorce? If it does, was it ever really love to begin with?

What is the difference between the love that ends and that which drives the universe?

With us this hour to discuss evolving our concepts of love is Matthew McKay. Matthew is a clinical psychologist, professor of psychology at the Wright Institute, co-founder of Haight Ashbury Psychological Services, founder of the Berkeley CBT Clinic, and co-founder of the Bay Area Trauma Recovery Clinic, which serves low-income clients. He has authored and co-authored more than 40 books, including his latest, “Love

in the Time of Impermanenceis.”
