Give and Take: Evolutionary Marketing

Give and Take: Evolutionary Marketing
~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~
Marketing – a necessary evil in the business world. As consumers, we have been marketed, schemed and quite frankly scammed, to death. As a result we have become suspicious and cynical.
Is there an honest, evolutionary approach to getting a well-meaning company’s valuable product in front of the public, sans the hype and overblown claims? As we evolve into a more cohesive whole, most of us are looking for win-win solutions to today’s problems. Is there such a resolution in the business world?
The market is flooded with dubious claims from companies that focus on making sales and profit to the exclusion of consumers’ needs and wellbeing. How can honest companies draw the attention of those who want and need what they can provide? Is there a beneficial solution that does no harm?

With us this hour to lend her expertise on the topic is Sheryl Green, author of “Do Good to Do Better: The Small Business Guide to Growing your Business by Helping Nonprofits.” Sheryl discovered the power of storytelling and has brought her love of the craft to fiction, non-fiction, and content writing for businesses. After years of begging for money for nonprofits, she discovered Cause Marketing and now helps small to medium sized businesses stand for something and improve their business at the same time. She holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and has worked in Customer Service, Public Relations, Education, and the Non-Profit world.
