From Loss Through Recovery to Evolution

If there is one thing that is universally feared, it is loss. Loss of income, a home, a relationship, or a loved one is very traumatic for any of us. At the same time, loss is a constant in life where everything is subject to continuous change.
Everything has purpose. The key to finding it is in transforming the experience into something positive.

Is it possible to recover from loss and use it to become more than we were before? How can we not only recover, but move beyond suffering and tap into the evolutionary power of loss?

With us this hour to delve into loss, recovery and transformation is Jeannie Seeley-Smith, author of  Nine Friends In Time Of Loss.”  For nearly 38 years, Jeannie has served as CEO of Perspectives. She is the founder of Minnesota’s largest therapeutic supportive housing program for homeless/recovering women and their children. 
Jeannie ensures the implementation of the agency’s mission and vision, its relevance to the community, and its accountability to its diverse constituents. She is also responsible for implementing best practices through a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to ensure families return to permanent housing.
