Who Were the Druids and What did they Leave Us?

As old structures increasingly fail, where can we find reliable guidance? Could it be that ancient forms such as Druidry could hold some answers to the problems of today?

With us this hour to explore the hidden mysteries of the Druids is Ellen Evert Hopman. Ellen is the author of “Celtic Druidry – Rituals, Techniques and Magical Practices.” She is an Herbalist, author and Druid who lives in an oak forest in western Massachusetts. Her volumes are far-ranging, including Celtic herbals, a trilogy of Druid novels, and children’s literature. She is the Arch-druid Emerita and founder of Tribe of the Oak Tuatha na Dara, a Celtic Reconstructionist Druid Order.

Wisdom of the Ancients: Modern Ecological Civilization

Wisdom of the Ancients: Modern Ecological Civilization

Ancient indigenous peoples lived on the planet for centuries with virtually no ecological impact while modern humans have managed to trash the planet in less than 200 years.

Can we use the wisdom of the ancients to create a modern ecological civilization?

With us this hour to delve into ancient wisdom as it applies to developing a modern ecological civilization is John Perkins. John first apprenticed with shamans he lived with in the Amazon rain-forest from 1968 to1971 and has since studied with shamans in many cultures. As chief economist at an international consulting firm, he advised governments, the United Nations, World Bank, and other organizations.  His eleven books on shamanism and economics have been on the New York Times bestseller list for more than 70 weeks, sold millions of copies, and are published in 38 languages. John has been featured on major TV, film, and print media. He was awarded the Lennon/Ono Peace Prize.
