The Mysterious, Fluid Nature of Time

The Mysterious, Fluid Nature of Time

~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~

Most people don’t give time much thought, yet it drives every aspect of our lives. Everyone is subject to schedules and deadlines, all relating to time. Time is an interesting concept when we look deeper into its nature.

In its most simplistic form, it is the mathematical mapping of where the sun shines on the earth’s surface as she spins in space. Mostly, we view time as set and linear. Never mind we can change it through agreement such as daylight savings.

Throughout the ages, there are myths and legends of disciplines that purportedly can manipulate time, such as shamanic practices that can heal the past and impact the future, or meditative practices whereby the practitioner can propel their consciousness into the past or future, and so on. There are ancient indigenous prophecies stating that, during the age we are in, time will shorten.

Is time only set because we believe it is? Does it shift and change, jump backward and forward without our noticing? Can time be manipulated or controlled? Given that time has so much control over us, what if someone can control time? As we evolve, can we indeed become masters of time, rather than subject to it?

With us this hour to explore these important questions is  Von Braschler, an award-winning journalist and former faculty member at Omega Institute. Von has led workshops throughout the United States and United Kingdom. A lifetime member of the Theosophical Society, he is the author of several books, including “Seven Secrets of Time Travel,” and his latest, “Time Shifts.”

The Power to Change Your Genetics

The Power to Change Your Genetics

~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~

We used to think our genes were set in stone; what you get is what you get. Now, as science evolves, so does our understanding of genetics. Could it be our genetic makeup is limited by our beliefs – never occurring to us we can change their expression, so we do not? What would it look like to embrace the power to evolve genetically? What could we accomplish as individuals and as a people should we do so?

With us this hour to explore the magical world of  epigenetics is Dr. Kenneth R. Pelletier, author of  “Change Your Genes  - Change Your Life.” Dr. Pelletier is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Family and Community Medicine, and Psychiatry in the Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine where he is Director of the Corporate Health Improvement Program. Dr. Pelletier is also Chairman of the American Health Association, and a Vice President with American Specialty Health.

When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned: Create an Alchemical Experience

When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned: Create an Alchemical Experience

~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~

If there is something the last year has taught us it is that life is what happens while we are busy making other plans. Looking back to mid 2019, what we expected our lives to look like moving forward to 2020 and beyond, is so far from what became our actual experience, as to be laughable.

All the plans we made based on how life had been, became so much dust leaving many of us reeling and uncertain as what to do next.

How do we move forward amidst so much radical change? Is there a way, to not only recover, but to evolve as a result of our shattered plans and dreams? Can we use this widespread disruption to create an alchemical outcome?

With us this hour to discuss his amazing experience of letting go and letting life is

Michael Schauch author of “ A Story of Karma: Finding Love and Truth in the Lost Valley of the Himalaya.” Michael lives to explore remote places around the world and share the depth and beauty of human connection. With over 20 years of global financial investment experience, Mike brings his business ac-u-men and altruistic heart to help lead and support local and international mentorship, fundraising, and educational initiatives, including: the education of girls and student mentorship in Nepal, outdoor youth leadership for those facing barriers to access nature, and holistic Indigenous leadership development in BC.
