CRISIS: Epidemic Depression in Teens
Our teens are in despair. In 2012 The depression rate in adolescents started drastically rising. Today 22% of our teens are suffering depression which is double the rate found in adults. What is going on? What can be done?
With us this hour to address the disturbing rise in teen depression is Dr. Scott J. Kolbaba, Dr. Kolbaba is a practicing physician of internal medicine. After college, he served in the Marine Corps Reserve until he started medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Graduating with honors, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Completing his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, he has subsequently been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in Chicago Magazine. Dr. Kolbaba is the author of Physicians’ Untold Stories and his latest book, written with his son, Florin Kolbaba is Clara’s Magic Garden.
