Evolving from Competition to Collaboration

Evolving from Competition to Collaboration
~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~
As populations grow, cultures, once isolated, begin to converge. When diverse cultures are confronted with each other, only too often, the first reaction is polarization, competition and conflict. Like it or not, we have all been programed and indoctrinated by our respective cultures into certain ways of thinking and behaving. Frequently, these beliefs can be diametrically opposed to other traditions.
Naturally, each faction is convinced their way is the right way, to the exclusion of all others. As we are experiencing, the inevitable conflict can be devolutionary, rather than evolutionary, in nature.
Is there a way to change this conflict into collaboration? Can we blend our diversity to create something even greater? How can we come together and use our differences to evolve into a more powerful and inclusive culture?

With us this hour to explore the power of collaboration is Sambrita Basu. Sambrita is a culture and change agent, entrepreneur, and thought leader who coaches and consults organizations on how to effectively navigate change and improve organizational health. With a diverse background in neuroscience, analytics, music, and 12+ years in business consulting, she uses multiple modalities to help companies become more collaborative and inclusive. She has combined her top-tier expertise to develop her own consulting practice, CultureCounts.io which has served many enterprise clients like Cisco, Coca Cola, and Disney.
