Changing World
~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~
Presence of mind – mindfulness. The concepts have been
around for a long time, yet few understand, much less employ, the true practice
– even those that profess to do so.
Over the ages, like many originally valid modalities, many mindfulness practices have devolved into dogmatic, grandiose, heady concepts that fall flat when put to the test.
Over the ages, like many originally valid modalities, many mindfulness practices have devolved into dogmatic, grandiose, heady concepts that fall flat when put to the test.
Yet now, during our challenging, rapidly shifting times, presence of mind and mindfulness are greatly needed to help us find our way. How can we resurrect the true concepts and practice, sans the hype, hysteria and spiritual arrogance that has come to be associated with it?
With us this hour to investigate mindfulness is Keith Macpherson. Keith is a speaker, coach, musician, and yoga instructor. He’s also the author of the new book, “Making Sense of Mindfulness.” His popular keynotes and workshops, along with his live yoga classes, are often packed with hundreds of people, and downloaded thousands of times online. Keith has spent over twenty years touring globally as a speaker and professional musician.
